The company is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain their growing portfolio of car wash facilities. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and general site upkeep while ensuring the locations operate safely and efficiently. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or industrial maintenance experience is considered a strong asset.
Compensation: Starting at $19.00/hour for entry-level candidates. Higher starting wages are available based on experience, qualifications, and relevant mechanical or electrical skills. Opportunities for overtime, career advancement, benefits, and employee discounts are also available.
Reports To: Lead Site Foreman & Senior Maintenance and Operations Manager
Core Responsibilities
- Prioritize maintenance requirements across multiple car wash locations.
- Attend scheduled maintenance meetings via Microsoft Teams.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and wash equipment.
- Install and commission new car wash equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Hydrovac and clean wash sumps.
- Assist with landscaping, snow removal and general property maintenance.
- Work safely from ladders and lifts (training and certification provided).
- Maintain maintenance records and communicate equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude; electrical, plumbing or industrial maintenance experience is an asset.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills and professional appearance.
- Dependable, safety-focused and eager to learn.
Working Conditions
- Full-time permanent position.
- On-call rotation, overtime and occasional evenings/weekends required.
- Indoor and outdoor work year-round in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
Winning Edge – Workplace Training Program Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity through the Winning Edge Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen.
- Must be unemployed at the time of intake.
- Ready, willing, and able to work full-time (up to 40 hours/week).
- Not a current student or enrolled in any program or school.
