Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry while delivering a positive dining experience to our customers. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy hours
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change using basic math skills
- Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management as needed
- Ensure all food served meets safety and sanitation standards
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cash handling
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or prior food industry background is a plus
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively

Pay: $17.85-$18.25 per hour
