Mantels Plus More Custom Woodworking a dynamic, client focused, custom woodworking company is in need of a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing and custom cabinetry team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15years hands on cabinet-shop experience, strong solid hardwood cabinetry and millwork background, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
This role is designed for a senior professional who can execute complex custom work, uphold shop standards, and provide leadership on the shop floor. This position offers an engaging work environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Build high-end custom cabinetry and millwork from shop drawings
- Work Extensively with solid hardwood and premium materials.
- Ensure all projects meet quality standards/specifications and act as a technical authority on quality, fit and finish.
- Support workflow, sequencing and production discipline
- Mentor Junior cabinet makers and apprentices
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide cabinet construction and assembly
- Cut, shape, and assemble wood components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment
- Install cabinets and furniture accurately on-site or in workshop settings
- Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, painting, or sealing to achieve desired aesthetics
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with material estimation and project planning as needed
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry making, woodworking, or carpentry is essential
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- High-end residential or architectural millwork experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing or custom cabinetry environments is preferred
- Former shop foreman or lead hand is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes is advantageous
