Desco Contracting is seeking an experienced mechanical insulation estimator to support commercial and industrial projects throughout British Columbia. We're a growing BC contractor, and the owner is looking to focus on field operations while partnering with a trusted estimator who can prepare accurate, competitive bids.
Your role:
- Review drawings and specifications
- Complete material takeoffs
- Prepare estimates
- Identify scope gaps
- Coordinate directly with the owner
- Apply knowledge of BCICA quality assurance requirements
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience estimating mechanical insulation work preferred
- Background in commercial/industrial projects
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Comfortable with Excel or estimating software
Work arrangement: Remote or Vancouver Island based. Flexible — part-time, contract, project-based, or ongoing depending on what works for you. Preference given to candidates based in BC or the Pacific time zone.
