The City of Fernie is now accepting applications for Recreation Program Leaders, within the Parks and Recreation department. Employment for this position will be up to forty (40) hours per week, based on program registration, starting on or about July 2, 2026, and will be part of CUPE Local 2093. This position is posted internally and externally concurrently.
Applicants for the position must be mature, performance orientated individuals with the ability to work extremely well with others and independently with little supervision. They must work in a safe and responsible manner, and exercise good public relations, particularly with youth.
The Recreation Program Leader will provide and maintain a safe environment that delivers fun, entertaining programs that promote recreation, creativity, and inclusiveness for participants.

All positions are scheduled to end on or before September 1st, 2026.

Wages are in accordance with CUPE Local 2093 ($21.26/ Hour) and is a part of Schedule B of the Collective Agreement. This is a non benefited position with limited time off available.
