The Airfield Electronic Services Supervisor will be responsible for the overall supervision of AES Technicians and the maintenance of Aeronautical Telecommunications Systems the ICAO Annex 10, Aeronautical Telecommunications Manual to support existing airfield electronic equipment (navigational aids) optimizations, modifications and managing/executing the Life Cycle processes. The successful candidate will work closely with OEM engineering teams, the client’s operations, and our maintenance and service delivery teams in the execution of life cycle projects.
Purpose of the Job:
Duties include:

Responsible for all aspects of maintenance including preventative, corrective and installation actions while ensuring they are carried out in accordance with current industry and regulatory standards.

Responsible to ensure that all maintenance records are accurate and up to date.

Establish and adhere to equipment preventative maintenance schedules.

Be accountable for DND Government Furnished Equipment inventory associated with AES and control of all Serco MJ inventory operations.

Responsible for the timely provision of quality replacement components of equipment.

Manage a test equipment calibration program.
-
Supervise AES technicians on operational issues and coordinate work assignments for daily operations.

Responsible for scheduling development training of AES technicians.
-
Prepare Personal Development Reports on each subordinate technician.

Responsible for accurate Labour Distribution Record submissions for AES technicians.

Participate and ensure that all various management roles to support OH&S, QA, ASMS and CSR are maintained.

Responsible to ensure that all the OH&S policies and initiatives are observed at each work site.

Coordination AES operations between all applicable operational agencies.

Ensure all maintenance operations comply with Serco Quality Management System procedures.

Any other tasking assigned by the Program Director.
Desirable experience:
-
Minimum of 10 years’ experience supervising/managing navigational systems associated with air traffic management (required)

Project management of electronic systems (desired)
-
Purchasing quotes, approvals, contracts etc. with suppliers and vendors (desired)
-
Managing Multi-stakeholder relationships (desired)
-
Inventory or Bill of Materials controls (desired)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
Must be conversant and current with all ATM regulatory requirements
-
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
-
Must be able to obtain a Level I security clearance
-
Strong technical skills with the ability to work at the field level
-
Electronic technologist diploma or higher education desired
-
Competent computer skills with intermediate proficiency MS Office 2013 (Office 365) suite of programs, including MS Project is desired

Experience with ISO 2015 Standard Quality Management Audit process or experience as an Auditor is desired

Strong team player with high standard in interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills
-
Ability to make sound analytical decisions and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
