Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles operating smoothly
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble automotive components efficiently
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks involving engine components, transmissions, or other large parts safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate service records, document repairs performed, and communicate findings clearly to team members or customers
- Stay current with automotive service innovations and industry best practices through ongoing training and certification updates
Qualifications
- Valid Automotive Red Seal Certification demonstrating recognized professional credentials in automotive repair
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong foundation in automotive repair techniques and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Solid mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized auto repair equipment required for complex repairs
- Experience with auto body repair or auto restoration projects is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling engine parts or vehicle components
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to diagnostics
