As the College continues to expand its career training programs, we are seeking a part-time, highly creative and strategic Content Marketing Specialist to lead our digital content initiatives and strengthen our brand presence across social media platforms.

Job Overview
This is not a traditional digital marketing role.
We are looking for a creative marketing professional to work part-time who understands modern social media platforms, digital storytelling, and audience behavior, with experience creating content and campaigns that effectively engage prospective students in the Nigerian and broader African markets.
You will be responsible for developing content strategies, identifying trending ideas, planning premium video productions, coordinating with video editors and graphic designers, and growing the College's digital presence across multiple social media platforms.

Duties
- Develop targeted content marketing campaigns for student audiences, with a focus on Nigeria and other African countries.
- Research trending social media content, viral video formats, platform algorithms, audio trends, and emerging digital marketing techniques across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Conceptualize, script, and create engaging short-form and long-form video content for student recruitment, brand awareness, and promotional campaigns.
- Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and production briefs for video editors, graphic designers, photographers, and other creative professionals.
- Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to identify successful marketing strategies, content opportunities, and emerging industry trends.
- Plan and coordinate video shoots, including locations, talent, scripts, interview questions, and production schedules.
- Capture high-quality photo and video content during campus events, student activities, workshops, graduations, employer visits, and community outreach initiatives.
- Review completed videos, graphics, thumbnails, captions, and creative assets, providing clear feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables and brand consistency.
- Develop platform-specific content strategies tailored to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube to maximize engagement and audience growth.
- Plan, schedule, and publish content across the College's social media channels while maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
- Monitor social media analytics, audience insights, engagement metrics, and campaign performance, and recommend improvements based on data and industry trends.
- Engage professionally with prospective students and followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries across social media platforms.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Academic, Career Services, and Leadership teams to identify compelling stories and transform them into engaging digital content.
- Stay current with AI-powered marketing tools, content creation technologies, platform updates, and digital storytelling best practices.
- Manage multiple campaigns and content production timelines while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian and broader African digital landscape, including social media trends, audience behaviors, and content preferences, is required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in content marketing, social media marketing, digital communications, or a similar role.
- Proven experience developing successful content strategies across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Experience developing culturally relevant content for African markets, particularly Nigeria, is highly required.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar tools
- Experience managing creative projects involving video editors, graphic designers, photographers, or external agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
