Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage sales processes, and assist customers with product information will contribute to a positive shopping experience. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or technology sales are highly valued to support diverse customer needs and enhance sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities
- Manage merchandising displays and ensure products are well-organized and stocked
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Process transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations
- Utilize communication skills to inform customers about promotions, new products, or services
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve service flow
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency (English and other languages) are a plus for serving diverse clientele
- Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising, and basic math skills are advantageous
- Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, organizational skills, and the ability to upsell products will enhance performance
- Experience in technology sales or product demos is beneficial but not required
