About the Position
We are seeking a Marine Equipment Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine engines and related mechanical and electrical systems.
Full-time | Permanent | 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays as required | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system components
- Adjust, repair, or replace engine parts
- Troubleshoot and isolate engine faults
- Perform scheduled maintenance and service work
- Test and ensure proper performance of repaired equipment
- Review work orders and communicate with supervisors
- Document inspections and completed work
Requirements
- Training in mechanical, marine, automotive, or similar fields is an asset (e.g. Marine Technician, Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or similar trades)
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a related mechanical, marine, or technical field is preferred. Equivalent training, apprenticeships, or relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a hands-on, physical work environment
- Applicants must be legally allowed to work full-time in Canada
