We are seeking a PTC Windchill Application Specialist (PLM) to support complex naval defence, engineering systems, and digital shipbuilding programs in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, administering, supporting, and optimizing the PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. You will help connect engineering data pipelines, including CAD/CAM models and EBOM/MBOM structures, with production systems while supporting secure, high-integrity lifecycle data management.
his position requires full-time on-site presence in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, five days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Configure, administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise PTC Windchill environments, including PDMLink, ProjectLink, and MPMLink.
- Manage Windchill system performance, lifecycle states, configuration, and day-to-day application administration.
- Support CAD data management integrations involving engineering applications such as Creo, AutoCAD, and AVEVA Marine.
- Support synchronization and transformation of engineering Bills of Materials, including EBOM-to-MBOM processes and integration with ERP/MES platforms.
- Design, configure, and optimize Windchill workflows, engineering change processes, including ECR/ECN, business rules, and access controls.
- Support secure data governance, classification, and physical/logical security segmentation for Controlled Goods and ITAR-restricted technical data.
- Troubleshoot complex application and user issues across engineering and operations environments.
- Support system patching, upgrades, maintenance activities, and migration scripts.
- Support relational database environments and Windchill business schema customizations.
- Provide user onboarding, training, and application support to multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience administering, configuring, and supporting PTC Windchill PLM in complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill administration and configuration.
- Experience managing CAD integrations and engineering data within a PLM environment.
- Demonstrated experience with EBOM/MBOM processes and BOM transformations.
- Experience supporting engineering change management processes and workflows.
- Familiarity with relational database administration, including Oracle or SQL Server, and Windchill business schema customizations.
Mandatory Requirements & Security Criteria
- Must be able to work on-site in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, five days per week.
- Must be eligible for and able to obtain Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain Government of Canada Reliability or Secret security clearance.
- Must meet applicable security eligibility requirements associated with the role.
Assets
- Previous experience in marine, naval shipbuilding, aerospace, defence manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Knowledge of enterprise PLM integrations with ERP/MRP systems such as IFS or SAP.
- PTC Windchill Administrator or Developer certification.
Pay Range
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65000–$125000. This role is a future opportunity.
