Narratives is currently seeking candidates for our Landscape Designer position to bring our stories to life. The position will be full-time, one-year term with the intention of transitioning to a permanent full-time position
Responsibilities
- Prepare presentation materials, including sketches, renderings, and visualizations for reports and engagement sessions.
- Develop compelling design concepts based on client needs and budget.
- Collaborate with various departments, lending your expertise in planning and design to contribute to the development of mapping, signage, master planning, community planning, active transportation, site inventory, and analysis.
- Actively participate in site visits, engagements, and charettes, fostering a hands-on approach to gather insights and feedback.
- Support detailed design development and technical drafting in AutoCAD, including site plans, layout development, construction details, and design documentation.
- Work closely alongside the Senior Landscape Designer to identify meaningful and sensitive design approaches.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in landscape architecture, urban design, or a related field / equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to visual detail.
- Proficient in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD), AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Adaptable, versatile, willing to learn and explore.
- Knows how to communicate sensitively with a wide variety of audiences.
- Able to develop design solutions while following style guides, and creative art direction.
- Hold a valid drivers’ license.

Salary Range: $ 52,000 – $ 67,000
