Three Sheets Brewing is a successful brewery & pub in a vibrant and growing community. We're looking for someone who is team-focused, has a passion for community, and is interested in having a great time while brewing some even better beer. We are expanding our operations and we are excited to add a critical thinker who values time management and on-the-job learning.
No experience necessary; we offer on-site training. Some background in warehousing, forklift operations, technical and hands-on fields is appricated. We offer competitive wages, room to grow, and an overall positive team environment in our small but mighty brewing facility.
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the brew team in their day-to-day operation within our two brewing facilities in Port Elgin. You will be using equipment like a keg washer, canning line, and brewing equipment (brite tanks, fermenters, etc.).
Examples of what your role and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Maintaining a sanitary work environment.
- Transfer and clarify beer.
- Manage yeast, monitor in-process beer, and ensure the beer is ready to be packaged.
- Assisting in operating brewhouse equipment while having a keen focus on consistency and the ability to multitask throughout the stages of production.
- Operate canning, bottling, and kegging operations when required.
- Adhering to the health and safety needs/concerns of yourself and your team.
- Other duties as required.
Qualification assets:
- Brewing experience (home or professionally) of 1-2 years.
- Understanding of the craft beer industry locally and nationally.
- Mechanical understanding (ex. ability to perform minor maintenance).
- Education in brewing operations, brewing science, chemistry/microbiology, distilling, or equivalent.
- Proficient in mathematics with the ability to calculate blending, etc.
- Ability to multitask, creativity, willingness to learn/grow along with our team, and ability to work in teams and individually.
- Focused on schedules, deadlines and tasks with the ability to adapt with production needs.
