Oak Tree Therapy
Oak Tree Therapy is a growing multi-disciplinary psychotherapy practice that provides services in the Winnipeg area to adults, youth, children and families. Oak Tree therapists use holistic, strength-based, evidence-based and trauma informed approaches when supporting clients a their mental health. Oak Tree Therapy is seeking registered social workers and psychiatric nurses who have demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy services and have training in evidence-based modalities for the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, OCD, and other mental health diagnosis.
*This contract position is currently posted for full time or part time, some evenings are required*
Accountabilities:
- Provide exceptional counseling services to address client needs.
- Must have knowledge and experience in treating individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse, loss, grief, self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and addiction.
- Must practice cultural humility and have knowledge and understanding working with diverse populations.
- Able to work with children, adult individuals, couples, and families.
- Experience and training using a variety of evidence-based modalities.
- Adhere to professional standards and best practices in conjunction with those set out by Oak Tree Therapy.
- Maintain appropriate case notes, reports, and client documentation.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Must be registered with a professional health licensing body within Manitoba that permits independent clinical practice.
- Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Functional computer skills required.
- Must have a computer and internet access for day to day operations including access to: Microsoft office
- Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Persons Sector (under three months old) and Child and Adult abuse checks (under three months old)
Education:
- Bachelor's or Masters degree (preferred), and 2 years plus experience preferred.
