Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical project estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating, project management, and electrical systems, with proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as Bluebeam and AccubidBid. The Electrical Estimator will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver precise pricing and scope of work for various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs from electrical drawings and specifications for commercial projects
- Prepare detailed cost estimates using Accubid, Bluebeam, and other estimating software
- Review tender documents and identify scope inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications
- Solicit and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist in assembling bid packages and submissions
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to support project handoffs
- Support project management teams throughout the project lifecycle by providing cost insights and updates.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project files
- Ensure estimates comply with company standards, and safety regulations.
Experience
- 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or a closely related role.
- Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems and BC Electrical Code
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, AccuBid, and other estimating or project management software tools.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation and pricing strategies to secure competitive bids.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
