We currently have an opportunity for the following position: Sales Associate – Full Time
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers. Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card) using retail software; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting; general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, restocking, and staying current with trends in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Demonstrate product features through engaging demos, highlighting benefits and technical specifications
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to enhance their purchase experience
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays and organized shelves
- Provide knowledgeable advice on product usage, features, and technical details
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients or vendors
- Support inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
The successful candidate will have:
High School graduation or equivalent. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays.
Friendly and helpful attitude toward customers. Excellent communication skills.
Willingness to learn. Good mathematical skills.
Prior retail experience is an asset. Creative abilities for making attractive in-store displays.
Willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base. Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment. We offer a competitive salary and great working conditions.
Ability to lift 30 to 50lb. Be able to assist with merchandising, loading of customer purchases or receiving and moving inventory.

Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in repair, construction or related products, is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and effectively showcase features
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Good time management skills to balance multiple tasks throughout the shift
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques and phone etiquette is preferred

Pay: $17.60-$20.25 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 42.5 per week
