Pickleball Coach Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pickleball Coach to lead youth and/or adult programs within our community sports facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching the game of pickleball while helping players build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy a fun, positive, and active environment. This role involves coaching players of various ages and skill levels through engaging instruction, drills, and gameplay development.
Duties
- Teach pickleball fundamentals including serving, rallying, positioning, footwork, scoring, and gameplay strategies
- Lead structured practices, clinics, lessons, and skill-development sessions for youth and/or adult participants
- Demonstrate proper techniques and provide individualized coaching and feedback to players
- Organize drills and activities that improve coordination and overall game performance
- Monitor player safety and ensure proper use of equipment and court etiquette
- Assist with clinic setup and maintaining a clean and safe playing environment
- Encourage player growth, confidence, and enjoyment of the sport at all skill levels
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience coaching, teaching, or playing pickleball
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work with both youth and adults
- Knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, and game strategies
- Comfortable leading group activities and adapting instruction for different ages and skill levels
- Reliable, energetic, and passionate about sports and active living
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings
- First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset
