Apex Valve Services is looking for a Valve Technician to join the valve modification team in Regina, SK. AVS has a technically diverse and service-oriented team that has a proven track record of providing customers with superior service and technical capabilities.
The successful applicant will work in a valve repair and machine shop; responsible for servicing and repairs to valves and other equipment according to company plans, blueprints, technical drawings and other diagrams.
Duties will include, but are not limited to (with training):
- Receiving, inspecting, disassembling, repairing, reassembling, and hydro testing of valves
- Keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with provincial and federal law, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
- Various shop duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with the ability to work independently
Attention to safety, quality and detail is an absolute must in this position. Any current safety tickets would be considered an asset and the ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required.
