Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Mainly focusing on middle eastern cuisine, as well as soul food like burgers, sliders, fries etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for culinary excellence. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and service. A background in restaurant management and hospitality is essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and team collaboration
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs while maintaining quality
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards through proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes that align with brand identity
- Train new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, and service protocols
- Lead by example in serving customers when necessary and maintaining a positive dining environment
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure smooth execution of all tasks
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality settings preferred
- Familiarity with the food industry trends, menu development, and customer service excellence
- Prior experience in serving guests in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
