PROFILE SUMMARY
Wesgroup is seeking a hands-on, quality-focused Quality Control Supervisor to join our Customer Care team in a one-year fixed-term position. In this role, you will lead quality control activities across assigned residential projects, ensuring homes, common areas, and amenity spaces are completed to Wesgroup quality standards and delivered on schedule.
Working closely with Construction, Customer Care, trades, homeowners, and internal partners, you will oversee inspections, deficiency management, homeowner orientation readiness, project completion activities, and team performance while supporting an exceptional customer experience throughout the possession process.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead quality control activities on assigned residential projects, ensuring homes, common areas, and amenity spaces meet established quality standards and completion targets.
- Coordinate inspections, deficiency identification, corrective action plans, and project finishing activities to support homeowner orientations, occupancy milestones, and project turnover.
- Manage issue resolution by documenting deficiencies, assessing impacts to schedule and budget, recommending solutions, and coordinating with construction teams, trades, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and update project finishing schedules, track homeowner orientation appointments and completion dates, and provide timely reporting, forecasts, and status updates to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, and coaching to Customer Care team members assigned to the project, supporting performance, development, resource planning, and operational priorities.
- Support project closeout, post-project reviews, lessons learned discussions, warranty preparedness, access coordination, amenity readiness, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor spending related to quality control activities and work with Construction teams and trade partners to support quality expectations, trade accountability, and timely completion of deficiencies and outstanding items.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED required; a college, trade, or technical diploma in construction or a related trade is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction, quality control, warranty service, customer care, project coordination, or a related field.
- Experience with New Home Warranty, construction coordination, trade work, or working with a developer in development, construction, sales, customer care, service, or warranty is considered an asset.
- Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, prioritizing work, allocating resources, and supporting performance and development.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building systems, finishing practices, quality standards, and BC New Home Warranty requirements.
- Strong scheduling, planning, reporting, documentation, spreadsheet, Microsoft Office, and project tracking skills, including tools such as Autodesk.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, resolve conflict, and support a positive homeowner experience.
- Comfortable working on active construction sites where PPE is required, with the ability to walk, stand, use stairs, kneel, reach, carry items, work in various positions, and lift up to 40 lbs.
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
- Annual Base Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $78,000 - $88,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
