This role will work directly alongside the Site Superintendent on residential construction projects and will play an important role in ensuring quality workmanship and efficient site operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Superintendent with daily construction activities
- Perform residential framing and structural checks
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout all stages of construction
- Identify and assist in resolving site deficiencies
- Review framing, layouts, and workmanship for accuracy
- Assist with interior quality control inspections prior to possession
- Operate Zoom Boom equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with material handling and site organization
- Operate power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively including skill saws, saws, drills, nail guns, and other construction tools
- Coordinate with trades and suppliers as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Follow all company safety procedures and site safety requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of residential construction experience
- Strong understanding of residential framing and new home construction
- Experience operating a Zoom Boom is required
- Bobcat/skid steer experience is considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Experience performing framing checks and quality control inspections
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
