Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Reefer Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in maintaining and repairing various types of trailers and heavy equipment. This role is essential in ensuring our fleet operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including brakes, axles, and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Assemble and disassemble trailer components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand complex systems and components.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely while moving equipment or materials around the shop.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in trailer repair or similar fields.
- Familiarity with farm machinery, heavy equipment operation, and dealership practices is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic tools, and understanding schematics related to trailer systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
