Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and recommendations to boost sales and upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices
- Manage inventory levels by counting, stocking shelves and organizing products regularly
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Support in promotional activities such as product demos to engage customers and increase sales
- Uphold phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Supervise or assist in supervising other team members as needed, fostering a collaborative environment
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
- Experience with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is advantageous, especially in merchandising, stocking, or cashiering roles
- Supervising experience is desirable for leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and engagingly to promote merchandise effectively
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
