Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using the accounting software Sage.
- Record and categorize financial transactions including expenses, income, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all records align with bank statements.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in payroll processing by verifying hours, deductions, and ensuring timely payments.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, summaries, and statements for management and the Board of Directors to review.
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses against budgets and providing insights for financial planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles including accounts payable and receivable management.
- Knowledge of account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze accounts and perform accurate account analysis.
- Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
