Northshore Waterfront Solutions is a custom boat lift company based in Gravenhurst, serving Muskoka and Southern Ontario, as well as shipping our Platform Boat Lifts throughout North America.
We build and install premium custom Platform Boat Lifts for waterfront property owners and are looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined, hands-on individual to join our growing team.
The Role
This position involves a mix of shop-based manufacturing and on-site installation work. You’ll help build, assemble, prepare, deliver, and install custom boat lift systems.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with tools, likes variety in their day-to-day work, and takes pride in doing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with manufacturing and assembling custom Platform Boat Lifts
- Prepare parts, materials, and components for production and installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
- Help load, unload, deliver, and install lifts at waterfront properties
- Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components
- Keep the shop, vehicles, tools, and job sites clean and organized
- Follow instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Although rare, occasional in-water work may be required
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using tools
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work well with a small team
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors
- Able to safely lift and carry 50+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license required
- Comfortable driving a company vehicle
- Construction, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, marine, or equipment installation experience would be an asset
Work Environment
This role includes both indoor shop work and outdoor installation work at waterfront properties. Some days may involve working around docks, boathouses, water, uneven ground, and changing weather conditions.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime depending on workload and installation schedules.
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage based on skills and experience.
