ABOUT THE POSITION
The AZ Local Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport customer belongings for local moves and deliveries. This role involves driving, loading and unloading items, assisting with packing and unpacking, and delivering excellent customer service throughout the moving process.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including box trucks and vans, for local transportation and delivery services.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload customer belongings while ensuring their safety and protection.
- Assist with packing and unpacking customer items when required.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips and report any maintenance concerns.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and equipment.
- Communicate professionally with customers and address inquiries or concerns in a courteous manner.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.
- Work collaboratively with moving crews and other team members to complete assignments efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a driving, delivery, moving, or transportation-related role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and maneuver heavy items safely.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
