Hope Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School STEM Teacher to join our Christ-centered learning community. This position will involve teaching Math 10C, Science 10, Asynchronous STEM courses, and complementary option classes while designing and delivering engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences across science, technology, and mathematics disciplines. The successful candidate will foster high levels of student engagement in both synchronous and asynchronous environments through interactive online instruction delivered primarily via Zoom, incorporating tools such as breakout rooms and polling to support collaboration and participation. Responsibilities include developing organized course modules and assessments within the Canvas Learning Management System, providing timely and data-driven feedback to support student achievement, managing digital classroom logistics, and collaborating with the STEM department to ensure curriculum alignment and instructional consistency. The successful applicant will also maintain proactive, Christ-centered communication with students and families, contributing to a supportive and faith-based educational environment focused on both academic and spiritual growth.
This is a full time (1.0 FTE), probationary position to commence the first day of the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in STEM and possess a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (Interim or Permanent). Preference will be given to individuals who have demonstrated experience applying the Alberta Program of Studies and Teaching Quality Standard (TQS) within both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments. Proficiency with Zoom and the Canvas LMS will be considered strong assets. A current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
