Job Overview
We're hiring a Sales Development Representative to join and help build our Sales Development team at Ontraccr. You'll work directly alongside our founding SDR, helping shape our outbound motion, prospecting strategies, and sales development organization as we scale.
This is a unique opportunity to join early and have a meaningful impact on how our SDR function evolves long term. Your feedback, ideas, and execution will directly influence the processes, playbooks, and best practices that drive our growth.
You'll play a key role in generating new pipeline by identifying decision-makers, running outbound campaigns, and booking qualified meetings for our sales team.
This is a hands-on, phone-forward opportunity to build a sales career from the ground up at a fast-growing SaaS company. You'll work closely with our founding SDR, Account Executives, marketing leadership, and the CEO, gaining exposure to how a modern B2B sales organization is built and scaled.
This is an outbound role. You'll spend the majority of your day on cold calls, email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting — reaching owners, presidents, and operations leaders in the construction and trades industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, email outreach, and LinkedIn.
- Identify decision-makers, qualify opportunities, and book meetings for the sales team.
- Perform account research and personalize outreach to executives, owners, presidents, and operations leaders.
- Navigate gatekeepers and handle objections with confidence.
- Strategic prospecting
- Manage multiple conversations simultaneously while staying organized.
- Consistently work toward and hit activity and meeting-booked targets.
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline data in our CRM and prospecting tools.
Qualifications
Experience
- 6 months of SDR or outbound prospecting experience.
- Proven experience making cold calls and conducting outbound outreach.
- Comfortable working toward activity and meeting-booked targets.
- Experience with a CRM and prospecting/sales tools (ZoomInfo, 6sense, HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting.
- Solid account research and personalization skills.
- Ability to identify decision-makers and qualify opportunities.
- Comfortable handling objections and navigating gatekeepers.
Nice to Have
- Construction or trades exposure (not required for the right candidate).
- A track record of consistently hitting activity goals and booking meetings.
- 1+ year of SDR experience

Compensation Structure
The expected base salary range for this role is $50,000-$60,000 CAD annually, plus variable compensation.
The expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is $70,000-$80,000 CAD annually, based on achievement of performance targets.
Top performers have the opportunity to earn above OTE through our performance-based commission plan, which rewards both qualified pipeline generation and revenue contribution.
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
