Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and specialized skills in working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. This role offers an enriching environment where educators can foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning in young children. The Montessori Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes developmental growth through hands-on learning and individualized instruction. Candidates with experience in instructional design, tutoring, and strong communication skills will thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Montessori-based lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum standards.
- Facilitate engaging learning activities across subjects such as math, writing, and other core areas using appropriate instructional methods.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages independence, respect, and collaboration among students.
- Assess individual student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including those of students with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student development and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress.
- Incorporate technology tools such as LMS platforms to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with special education professionals to support students requiring additional accommodations or services.
- Foster social-emotional development by promoting positive behavior and effective communication skills within the classroom.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education, special education, and instructional design.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field; Montessori certification is preferred.
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of LMS platforms and instructional design principles to support differentiated learning approaches.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate math, writing skills, and other core subjects.
- Familiarity with teaching methodologies tailored to early childhood development and inclusive education practices.
