Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House Staff to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in guest services, food handling, and upselling within a dynamic team setting.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Process payments with cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests
- Assist with food and beverage service, including serving and upselling menu items
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout the shift
- Handle food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when necessary
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including table clearing and sanitation
- Support guest services by creating a welcoming environment and resolving any issues promptly
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and guests
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Upselling abilities to promote menu items and enhance guest experience
- Basic food preparation skills are a plus but not mandatory
