Pediatric Nurse (RN / RPN) – In-Home Care

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) with an interest in pediatric and special-needs care to join our family’s in-home care team.
You will be providing one-to-one nursing care for Mateo, a bright and resilient 7-year-old boy, in the comfort of his home in Guelph, Ontario. This role is ideal for nurses who value meaningful work, clinical autonomy, and building a trusting relationship with a child and family.

About Mateo
Mateo has a well-established tracheostomy (since infancy) and a G-tube for nutrition and medications. He uses a ventilator overnight for additional respiratory support. His care routine is stable and well supported.
Training and skill refreshers are available, including access to SickKids Connected Care education and free virtual training if needed. Previous trach, vent, or pediatric experience is an asset—but not required.

Schedule & Commitment
- Shifts: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am (overnight)
- Minimum commitment: 3-4 shifts per week
- Location: Private home in Guelph, ON
This role offers consistency, predictability, and flexibility—ideal for nurses balancing other professional or personal commitments.

Compensation
- RPN: $46.00 per hour
- RN: $56.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Medication administration
- G-tube feeding and care
- Personal care (including diaper changes)
- Monitoring and supporting respiratory needs
- Providing attentive, family-centered pediatric care

Qualifications
- Current RN or RPN registration in good standing
- Required professional liability insurance
- Vulnerable Sector Check (current or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor
- Responsible for WSIB and both portions of CPP
