Diverse Community Support Services (DCSS) provides individuals (children, youth and adults) with complex needs, their families and social service organizations respite and specialized services that are tailored to each individual's needs.
DCSS is currently hiring the following positions;
- Child and Youth Workers
- Social Service Workers
- Direct Support Workers
- Developmental Support Workers
- Personal Support Workers
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Child and Youth Work or related field
- A current Police Reference Check or Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (at least 2 doses)
- A valid Standard First Aid Certificate, with level C CPR
- A valid certificate in non violent crisis intervention (CPI, UMAB, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in Mental Health, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental challenges
Job Responsibilities:
The qualified applicant will be responsible for providing support to those diagnosed with ASD, Mental Health Disorder and/or Dual Diagnosis. Support includes but is not limited to, assistance with daily living, hygiene, feeding, social and life skills, etc.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
