Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Acrylic Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating high-quality acrylic components using various tools and machinery. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with manufacturing processes. The Acrylic Fabricator will contribute to the production of precision parts, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications. Duties
- Operate CNC lathe, CNC machines, and other machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble acrylic materials
- Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers for accurate fabrication
- Set up and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated processes
- Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and standards
- Utilize forklift and warehouse experience for material handling and inventory management
- Assist in assembly of fabricated components according to design drawings and work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following lean manufacturing principles
- Conduct basic troubleshooting on machinery and report issues promptly
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing efficiency and quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing, machining, or fabrication environments, preferably with acrylic or plastics
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, assembly, and the use of hand tools
- Experience operating CNC lathe machines, CNC equipment, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
- Ability to use calipers, basic math skills, and quality inspection techniques effectively
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is beneficial
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and follow safety protocols
- Prior experience with assembly processes and mechanical troubleshooting is preferred
