Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Supply Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will provide classroom coverage across various grade levels and subjects, ensuring a seamless learning experience for students when regular teachers are unavailable. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, following provided lesson plans or curriculum guidelines.
- Manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Support students' individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of instruction.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assist with classroom management, including supervising students during activities and breaks.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Classroom experience, especially in early childhood education or special education, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of teaching strategies for students with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and grade levels.
- A background or training in math or other core subjects is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Must be able to work independently, demonstrate professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
Pay: $17.20-$19.60 per hour
