Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labourer to assist in our residential construction projects on The Sunshine Coast. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks related to residential construction projects, contributing to the successful completion of high-quality homes. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Most job sites are located in Halfmoon Bay, and you must be available to meet on site.
The schedule is flexible, we are mainly looking for extra hands when we can get them, anywhere from 1-5 days a week, and happy to take on the right fit just for the summer, or carried on to full time.
Duties
- Assist with general construction tasks including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision to perform tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by cleaning up debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste materials.
- Support the installation of structural components such as framing, roofing, and siding.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet project deadlines and requirements.
Skills
- Previous experience in construction or a related field preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Vehicle and valid drivers license required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
