Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a variety of marine vessels. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience working with hand and power tools, and a passion for maintaining marine equipment in optimal condition. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safety and performance of marine vessels for our clients.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on boats and marine engines
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, and related equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble marine components
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper operation after repairs
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Assist with the installation of new marine systems and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in marine or automotive repair preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Experience working with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with marine engines or systems is a plus but not required
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings as applicable
