Overview
Archie Horn & Son Ltd. has been servicing the greater Hamilton area since 1936. We are looking for an HVAC technician with a G2 License, AC experience and minimum 3 years experience in the field to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with plumbing, air conditioners, boilers, and furnace repair. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment dedicated to quality service and safety. Hours of work are Monday to Friday with on call duties on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work adheres to industry codes and regulations
- Perform maintenance on heating and cooling units, including boilers, furnaces and air conditioners
- Conduct plumbing and welding tasks as needed for system modifications or repairs
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques; perform repairs related to HVAC systems
- Collaborate with coworkers during new installations or upgrades
- Great customer service skills
- On call duties on rotation basis
Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Valid G2 license with 3-5 years experience
- ODP Certificate
- Proven experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in boiler and furnace operation and repair
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow safety protocols diligently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings including residential, commercial, or industrial sites
- Housecall Pro experience an asset
- Working with heights an asset
- Own hand tools
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
