Vintage Iron Cycles Victoria is hiring. We are a growing e-bike and electric mobility shop focused on quality work, practical solutions, and honest service. We are currently looking to fill two positions.
Position 1: Shop Manager (Full-Time)
Duties:
- Oversee daily shop operations and workflow
- Help keep staff organized, productive, and on task
- Coordinate repairs and ensure jobs move efficiently through the shop
- Order parts and maintain inventory levels
- Track incoming parts and ensure they are assigned to the correct repair orders
- Communicate with customers regarding repair timelines, parts availability, and service updates
- Assist with scheduling and general shop administration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Previous bicycle mechanic experience is a significant asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with inventory management and parts ordering
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
Position 2: Bike Technician (Full-Time)
Duties:
- Service, repair, and maintain bicycles and e-bikes
- Perform tune-ups, overhauls, brake and drivetrain work
- Assemble new bikes and complete safety inspections
- Communicate clearly with customers about repairs
- Keep tools and work areas clean and organized
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bike mechanic (applicants with prior bike technician experience will be prioritized)
- Strong understanding of modern bicycle components
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
