Quality Control Manager – Painting & Construction
Job Summary
We are currently hiring a Quality Control Manager – Painting & Construction to oversee active job sites and ensure work is completed to a high professional standard. This is a field-based role, not an office-based management position. The successful candidate will travel to multiple job sites throughout the day to inspect work quality, verify job completion, ensure sites are clean and presentable, and help bridge communication between crews onsite and the office. This role is ideal for someone with strong painting and construction knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to address issues before they become larger problems.
Duties
- Travel to multiple active job sites each day
- Inspect painting and construction work for quality, completion, and professionalism
- Identify deficiencies, missed work, or quality issues and report them clearly
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and presentable
- Confirm that job scope and expectations are understood at the start of each project
- Communicate with workers onsite, office staff, and clients as needed
- Follow company procedures and quality standards closely
- Submit daily updates, reports, and site notes through ClickUp
- Help ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and addressing issues early
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Strong painting and general construction experience, with minimum 3 years of Canadian professional painting experience
- Ability to assess workmanship and recognize quality issues
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for finished work
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple site visits in one day
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Able to follow instructions, processes, and reporting requirements consistently
- Comfortable using ClickUp or similar reporting/project management tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in quality control, site inspections, crew supervision, or project coordination
- Experience handling client concerns or communicating between crews and office staff
- Familiarity with residential and commercial painting/construction projects
