Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a busy food service environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, including food preparation and serving activities
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure efficient use of POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure quality control in cooking, food presentation, and cleanliness
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including cooking and plating dishes
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, inventory control, and restaurant management strategies
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and food safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision, with strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential
- Background in hospitality, hotel management, or barista experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Strong team management abilities including interviewing, training, and motivating staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices including inventory control and scheduling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
TIPS: $2-$4 per hr
