Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Curry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian ( Punjabi) curry dishes, ensuring high-quality food presentation, and maintaining excellent food safety standards. The Curry Chef will work closely with kitchen staff to create flavorful, well-balanced meals that meet our restaurant’s standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of curry dishes according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist in meal planning and menu development to introduce new curry recipes and enhance menu offerings
- Manage food handling procedures, including proper storage, sanitation, and inventory control
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation during busy service hours
- Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain high standards of hygiene at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service, preferably within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of curry preparation techniques and ingredient handling
- Experience in serving customers and managing food presentation with attention to detail
- Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and food handling regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards culinary innovation
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification is advantageous
