Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, managing POS transactions, and ensuring all food safety standards are maintained. The Bartender will play a key role in enhancing the overall guest experience and contributing to the lively environment of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service
- Manage POS systems, for order processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations
- Serve food items when required, adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to legal drinking age regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies related to food industry standards
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating tabs accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanor
