Overview
We're looking for a dependable Construction Labourer/Cleaner to join our team. You'll support daily site operations by keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe while assisting tradespeople as needed. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in hard work and wants to grow with a busy crew.
Duties
- Clean and maintain construction sites, including sweeping, debris removal, and waste disposal
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Set up and take down scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks such as carrying materials, holding items in place, and handing off tools
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely
- Ensure worksite compliance with health and safety regulations
- Perform general site preparation, including digging, levelling, and compacting
- Keep storage and staging areas organized
- Flag or direct traffic around work zones when required
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related trades is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for entry-level candidates
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, masonry, welding, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, or restoration work is desirable
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely is preferred
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
