**this is a hybrid role, which can be based out of our Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal offices**
The Communications Specialist is responsible for working within the National Corporate Communications and Marketing team to deliver communication strategies in maintaining Colliers’ position as a leader in the commercial real estate industry.
In this role, you will provide external and internal communications support across multiple service lines at Colliers Canada. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications the role will work collaboratively with leaders and teams across the business in collaboration with our National Marketing, Communications & Research teams to plan and execute multi-channel internal and external communications campaigns in markets across Canada.
In this role, you will...
Assist in the development and execution of corporate communications strategies, including media relations, executive messaging, and content development.
Implement internal communications programs that foster employee engagement, culture, and alignment with corporate objectives.
Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and supporting media outreach and internal communications in partnership with our external agency and internal teams.
Support the development of high-quality content including executive messaging, press releases, talking points, internal emails, intranet articles, social media posts, and thought leadership.
Bring a sharp editorial eye and a collaborative spirit to cross-functional projects.
Measure and report on communications impact to internal teams and prepare reports for senior leaders, with a focus on outcomes, engagement, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring
3+ years marketing and/or communications experience
Bachelor's degree - communications, public relations or journalism preferred
Strong writing & editing skills, including experience with Canadian Press style
Well-versed in using different communications social media etc. and the platforms associated including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint, Hootsuite and Meltwater
Proficiency with Generative AI
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders
Pursuant to local law, Colliers is disclosing the following information:
Area / Location Specific: Toronto, ON, Vancouver, BC or Montreal, QC
Approximate Compensation for this Role: $71,281 to $85,000
Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
