Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Red Seal Journeyman/woman to join our construction and renovation team. This role requires a professional with comprehensive expertise in various trades, including carpentry.. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and the use of both hand and power tools. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to diverse projects such as restoration, cabinet installation, siding, drywall and taping, painting and general construction tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects that require precision and craftsmanship.
Duties
- Interpret and follow detailed blueprints and schematics to execute construction projects accurately
- Potential to run a job site alone or with fellow employees
- Install cabinetry, siding,and other building components
- Conduct restoration projects involving structural repairs and surface refinishing
- Assist with construction painting, caulking, drywall taping and sanding, and general residential construction duties and task
- Measure materials accurately for construction estimating purposes
- Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks required for project completion
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal certification as a Journeyman/woman
- Extensive experience in construction-related fields such as carpentry, drywall, siding, windows and doors and general residential construction.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and building codes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Handyman experience or multi-trade skills are considered an asset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse project environments
- Own transportation to and from job site
- Own power tools an asset

Pay: $26.21-$44.41 per hour
