Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent cooking skills, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
- Assist with food plating, garnishing, and portioning to ensure consistency
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils throughout shifts
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols related to food handling and preparation
- Stock ingredients and supplies as needed, notifying management of shortages or issues
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation processes and kitchen operations
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is a plus
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
