About the Role
Carmichael Custom Cabinetry is seeking a detail-oriented Cabinet Vision Draftsperson / Shop Drawing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will prepare accurate shop drawings and production-ready plans for custom cabinetry projects using Cabinet Vision software.
The ideal candidate has experience in the cabinetry or millwork industry, understands cabinet construction methods, and can efficiently produce drawings that support both production and installation.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed shop drawings and production drawings using Cabinet Vision.
- Convert design concepts, field measurements, and architectural plans into manufacturing-ready drawings.
- Generate cut lists, material requirements, and CNC-ready outputs where applicable.
- Review drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and shop personnel to ensure project requirements are met.
- Revise drawings as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Cabinet Vision is required.
- Experience producing shop drawings for custom cabinetry or architectural millwork.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- CNC programming knowledge is an asset but not required.
