Job Summary
This position is responsible for classifying and support on compliance and regulatory matters both internally and to clients. The incumbent is responsible for searching all necessary data on the paperwork to find relevant information in order to classify the goods accurately. This includes searching for information pertaining to the proper description of goods, country of manufacture and if any free trade agreement is applicable.
Essential Functions
- Create and proactively maintain the client tariff database, ensuring all associated system maintenance files/information are accurate and current. Update information as necessary.
- Assist with tariff classification, customs compliance, and trade advisory services.
- Prepare and submit refund claims.
- CUSMA and other free trade agreement reviews.
- Prepare reports as required.
- Communicate with clients and government agencies if needed.
- Review documentation for customs compliance and identify potential risks.
- Prepare and submit Advance Rulings.
- Participate in continuous learning to develop expertise in customs compliance and international trade.
- Create or enhance SOPs.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ideal Candidate will have 1 – 2 years of experience in a Customs brokerage environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to handle large volumes of work accurately.

Hybrid Work Arrangement (3 days in the office) in place after initial training/probation period completed
Pay: From $44,000.00 per year
