DUTIES
Trailblazers Life Choices is looking to fill the position of a Driver, who, under the direction of Transportation Coordinator, will primarily be responsible for transportation of adults living with disabilities.
MAIN DUTIES:
· Report delays, mechanical problems and accidents;
· Load and unload vehicle;
· Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures;
· Deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts;
· Deal with public;
· Complete logbooks and reports;
· Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle;
· Communicate with passengers, Transpiration Coordinator or other drivers;
· Operate buses or streetcars to transport passengers;
· Ensure adult's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing street while bus is stopped;
· Maintain control of individuals activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviours that could compromise safety.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Be at least 18 years old.
· Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
· Driver's License (Class 2);
· Experience is an asset (School bus driver; Intercity bus driver; Buses 1 year)
· Driver's abstract;
· Be able to work in a fast-paced environment;

· Be able to sit for prolonged time

SCHEDULE
The shifts will be split between the following hours:
Mon-Fri: 7am - 10am & 3pm - 5pm
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
· Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
· An applicant who is offered an employment, must provide a current (not older than 3 months) and satisfactory Criminal Records Check (with vulnerable sector search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check
