Role Description
This is a contract/part-time faculty role for a Clinical Instructor in Aesthetic Medicine. The position is based on-site at CAMA's headquarters in Calgary, AB, with additional opportunities at regional hubs across Canada including Mississauga, Ottawa, Edmonton, Vancouver, Halifax, and Moncton.
The Supporting Instructor will work alongside the Head Instructor to deliver pre-approved theory modules and assist in leading intensive hands-on training sessions for Basic and Advanced Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler courses. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing real-time feedback and guidance to students during live model injections
- Supporting the Head Instructor in maintaining a safe, professional, and supportive clinical learning environment
- Ensuring all practices align with current Canadian regulations and CAMA's internal safety protocols
- Utilizing the Kajabi platform to stay current on curriculum updates and review faculty training materials prior to course delivery
New faculty are required to shadow one Basics and one Advanced course before leading sessions independently. The role requires a minimum commitment of four courses per calendar year.
Qualifications
- Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in the medical aesthetics field
- Minimum of 2 years in a teaching or mentorship capacity preferred
- Deep, demonstrable knowledge of facial muscle structure, vascular anatomy, and the rheology of various injectables
- Ability to articulate complex medical concepts in a clear, engaging, and professional manner
- Proven commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
